Nowadays, the PDF file format is widely used for storing and distributing documents. That's because it's small in size, it'e extremely versatile, it can be viewed using numerous programs, a lot of mobile devices support it and best of all, it cannot be modified by unauthorized people. Still, despite its huge popularity, the PDF format still has its drawbacks. One of them is the fact that it cannot be viewed without a PDF reader. Downloading and installing such a software may take a lot of time and effort, especially if the user has a slow Internet connection. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem and that's the PDF2EXE software.

Analyzing the program's name, we can say that the function of the software is to convert PDF files into executables, for viewing them in computers where a PDF reader isn't intalled. PDF2EXE can work in almost any version of the Windows operating system, ranging from XP to Windows 7 and requires little intervention from the user to complete the installation process. Besides that, it takes up little hard disk space and requires low system resources.

The interface of PDF2EXE includes some graphical buttons, but also the well known classical menu, each one of them allowing easy access to the program's functions. For the software to do its job, one just needs to open a desired PDF file, select some options and then save the file as EXE. That's it. This way, the document can be viewed in a specialized interface, without the need for a PDF reader. The interface of the EXE file has at least the same functionality as the one of a regular PDF reader, for example, Adobe Reader.

The user can choose to convert only some pages of the PDF document, in case there are many of them, thus concentrating only on the information that matters the most.
